Rhonda SG To be honest, I was really quite relieved to find out that here, the ladies aren't so hung up on labels and such and that it's alright to walk around with cheap but nice bags because almost everyone else does. Phew! Don't have to spend outrageous amounts on bags here! OK, they're not extremely fashionable here but it does ease the pocket a lot!
Rhonda SG choco, that pink bag you displayed... it looks very Japanese! I wouldn't buy a bag that doesn't have a zipper and is left gaping wide though. I don't wanna be some pickpocket's target!
stellazio SG i hate carrying bags around. such a hassle. and my farking ipod is too big to fit into my pocket.
elindra SG Lots of people use cheap and nice bags in SG too I do as well Just that expensive bags are an indulgence
hisoka SG well so if we get permission its ok? fudge, yeah its telling the person we don't trust them, but its not unethical and i would say the idea of keeping email trials is the same concept. we all know what it means when pple ask you to send them an email when you ask them to do something in person, esp when the task is simple. and i'm talking about only work related stuff here and not conversations per se
stellazio SG no, u got to understand, my ipod is the 1st generation ipod. the largest of em all, and heaviest.
hisoka SG actually just had an interesting thought, singapore doesn't really have privacy laws right? does that mean the government's telling us its ok to do so?
Rhonda SG WHOA!!! Hold your horses!!! The Dell system I'm eyeing for is now $1000 less because of the Mid-Year Sales!! Be calm my heart! To buy or not to buy?! I'm kinda scared owning a PC cause I don't have my bro here to scream at for help. In fact, if I have any PC problems, I can only rely on the service desk for whatever little help I can squeeze out of them. Plus, if I do buy a PC, all my available time will be sucked away online. And being online ain't cheap business here. Darnit... to buy or not to buy?
elindra SG That is the Burberry Blue Label that can only be bought in Japan. Look at what Choco bought when she was there. Nice hor
stellazio SG buy! so u can surf those dating sites more often, at ur own free time. and slowly take ur time to pick and choose.
elindra SG I don't think this has anything to do with the government Even if there are no laws there is something called "ethics" It's raelly personal ethics. Of coz there are alot of unethical people around who wouldn't care less Just go to STOMP
stellazio SG when u spy and u find out nothing, you're called unethical and infringing on privacy. but if u spy and find something interesting, you're called hero.
choco B SG Oh man tell me about it, I treat some of my bags better than my own person. This pink bag is troublesome to bring out because I get paranoid about stains -___-"" I'm skeptical about warehouse sales because sometimes the items are disappointing. Perhaps there will be staples from Gap, in which case it's not so bad. I hope it will be worth your trip (if it happens) !
elindra SG You are called the whistle blower not hero But seriously unless you chance upon it I think it's fine BUt all these spying and infringment of privacy is
Rhonda SG Honestly, I feel kinda ... sua ku when I carry my favourite Japanese cloth bags with cats appliqued on them. Y'know, that brand that's available in Takashimaya's basement? Somehow, I love them though I know they're definitely not fashionable. I guess it's cause you get 'looks' from people walking past you in the streets, and they aren't looks of the nice, polite kind! Here, I don't feel that I stick out like a sore thumb when I use those cloth bags. Actually, there are even strangers admiring the bags and asking if I had made them! Stark contrast.
